Recital

A Butterfly Garden

It all began when my sister spotted a caterpillar being snapped in half by a bird.  She rescued other caterpillars.  We brought two inside and made them a home in our old fish tank. Soon the biggest, who we named Fatty, crawled into the rocks and onto the wall of the butterfly enclosure.  It was making its chrysalis.  Two weeks later a butterfly emerged.  I felt a little sad that fatty was leaving but I reassured myself that he would come back and lay more eggs.  By Hazel
